Reynaldo L. Intalan Jr., affectionately known to all as “Papa Rey,” lived as a testament to the strength of the human spirit. Born on June 17, 1970, he was the very definition of a fighter. His life was a masterclass in resilience, where his unwavering will consistently prevailed over formidable obstacles. He bravely battled and survived COVID-19, recovered with determination from a major motorcycle accident, and faced his final challenge a Stage 4 Liver Cancer diagnosis on March 3 with the same fortitude that defined his character.

Throughout this last battle, Papa Rey’s unwavering positive attitude never dimmed. He reminded everyone around him that joy and courage are choices we make, even in the darkest hours. On April 8, 2026, at 6:59 PM, he passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Though he is gone, Papa Rey leaves behind an indelible legacy of hope. His life serves as a powerful reminder to face every challenge with grace and to always, no matter the odds, keep smiling. He fought the good fight, finished his race, and now leaves us with memories illuminated by his enduring light.
